Something for all the family

Croft View Cottage is special; it was our family home for sixteen years and our children spent their early years growing up here. The welcoming, homely feel is immediately apparent as you enter the cottage.

Croft View Cottage has gained the “Families Welcome” accreditation from “Visit Britain” which means that you should be assured that your family is booking quality accommodation which meets the needs of families.

In addition, we are very proud to have gained the Gold Award in the “Think Family” category of the East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards.

We like to give you a special welcome at Croft View Cottage and aim to provide a home from home for you to enjoy your holiday in. We try to prepare the cottage to suit the needs of expected guests (whether they be 5 months old or 95!) in order to make your stay as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and of a high standard. It is equally appealing to families or groups of friends whether they be holidaying with or without children. The study doubles up as a playroom as required.

Croft View Cottage is the perfect venue for a family holiday with its large garden and flexibility of its two sitting rooms and family dining kitchen, providing a choice of areas for all family members to enjoy.

The cottage is very well equipped and guests staying with children may request the following:

  • Travel Cot
  • Highchair
  • Steam Steriliser
  • Changing mat, potty and emergency baby provision basket
  • Two portable stair gates (guests must take responsibility for the fitting and use of these.)

Please note that we do not provide cot bedding.

Please note that children should be supervised in the garden .

Whilst the cottage garden is enclosed and gated, the change in levels means that there are drops and stone steps leading to the lawned area.

We request that guests staying with children encourage them to respect the property.

There are lots of lovely walks from the door of Croft View Cottage and plenty of cows, sheep and birdlife all around.

You can walk to Eyam which is about 1.5 miles away, read about the plague there and find out why Eyam is famous at Eyam Museum, visit the church, Eyam Hall and have a coffee or lunch stop at one of the village cafes.
